Location of the Inca Empire

The Inca Empire extended about 4,000 km on the coast of Peru. The Inca Empire could include present-day Peru, Columbia, Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina.

In the right part of the map, the green part is of South America is Peru. On the left side og the map, the light gren with red side of Peru is the Inca Empire.

During the 1400s, the Inca Empire was one of the wealthiest and largest empires in the Western Hemisphere. The Ina Empire had an area of 1,285,216 sq. km. Three major regions are located in the Inca Empire. They are the narrow Coastal Belt, the wide Andean Mountains, and the Amazon Rainforest.

In this map, The Pacific Ocean is in purple. All of the lands, except for the Inca Empire, are in green and grey. The Inca Empire is in orange.

The Urabamba Valley is known as the Inca’s sacred valley. Beside the river there are snow-capped mountains, eucalyptus, tree forests, and corn fields. The Inca Empire is located in both the Western and Southern hemispere and south of the equator.

There are 5 different parts of the Inca Empire shown in this map. The parts are Pachacuti, Tupac Inca, another Tupac Inca, Huayna Capac, and the later Inca conquests. This shows the Inca Empire from 1438 to today.

The coastal summer is from late December to early April. The sky is often clear. The weather is hot and sticky. This time is also known as the beach season. The yearly main temperature is 59 degreed F. The rainy season is from November to March, but it doesn’t rain the whole day. All of the fields and hills in the countryside turn green. During the coastal mist, which is the rest of the year, the sun is rarely seen and the temperature drops. The latitude is 10 degrees south and the longitude is 76 degrees south.
